If do not receive your coupon book within the next two weeks please contact the Association office via email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or via the website at tamarindnews.com or via telephone at 941-475-2275 so we can resolve the problem. Many Members have taken advantage of automatic payment withdrawal so their payments are automatically withdrawn from their bank account when they are due. You can sign up for this service at anytime and the necessary form is included with your coupons.

Additional payment options and BB & T contact information is available in the NEWS section on the Tamarind website at tamarindnews.com.

DO NOT MAIL TO OR PRESENT PAYMENTS TO THE ASSOCIATION OFFICE, they must be sent directly to the bank. Please be aware that if you fail to make your payments by the 10th of the month in which they are due the bank will automatically assess your account a $50.00 late fee.

You will soon be receiving your First Notice Of Annual Meeting packet. Contained in this packet is a Proxy. If you are unable to attend the Annual Meeting, PLEASE complete and mail back or email a copy of your Proxy to arrive prior to the meeting that will be held on February 26, 2016. (The Annual Meeting is always held on the last Friday in February). Last year we did not have enough Proxies to add to the Members in attendance which resulted in delaying the start of the 2015 Annual Meeting.  We had Directors and Members running around knocking on doors in an effort to meet our legal quorum requirements, let's not have a repeat for 2016. To clarify a misconception, a Voting Ballet does not replace a Proxy and cannot be used as such. Your cooperation is necessary and appreciated.

The installation of the geothermal wells and condensing units is complete and has been activated for a few weeks. Although we have been experiencing unseasonably warm weather the system seems to be performing well. The receipt of huge invoices for propane will not be missed.

New concrete curbing was recently installed around the geothermal well heads and the newly created beds were then mulched. Mexican petunias had already been installed to help camouflage the well heads. Curbing was also added adjacent to the stairway leading from the parking lot to the clubhouse and an area on the north side of the north bayside entrance. Damaged curbing on the beachside of the property was also replaced.  The spreading of 18 pallets or 720 bags of red rubber mulch around the property was also completed

PARKING   The time of high occupancy within the community is approaching so unless there is a specific reason such as an infirmity, please make it a practice to park in your assigned carport and leave the open parking for overflow and your guests and your neighbor’s guests. Remember to obtain your parking permit and guest parking permits from the office. The property is posted with signs that a parking permit is required and violators are subject to towing.

The handicap parking in front of the clubhouse is for short term parking and clubhouse functions only. Over night parking is prohibited and new signs will soon be installed stating this fact.

A recent routine inspection of the pool by Charlotte County declared that our pool does not have sufficient lighting to accommodate night time swimming. Although lighting changes and their associated costs is being explored the Directors voted to repeal the previous change and not allow swimming past "DUSK". Tamarind Rule 11. Recreational Facilities. Paragraph "A", Section 14. will now read "NO SWIMMING PAST DUSK".   Please make this change to your copy of the Rules.

The Board wishes to acknowledge the recent passing of long time owner Charles (Charlie) Green. Charlie loved to fish and could often be seen fishing out front when in residence. He was a Korean War Army Veteran and a Mason. Our condolences to his wife "Jo" and the Green family. A memorial gift was given to Shriners Hospital for Children Burn Institute.

Have a wonderful Holiday season.
